Planning granted on Lakeside Lodges

Mason Gillibrand has enjoyed collaborating with a prominent Cumbrian hotel for nearly a decade.

This year, we’re delighted to move one step closer to the completion of one of our most exciting projects to date.

We’ve had a multitude of complex planning issues and constraints to negotiate, but we’re now firmly on track to build nine remarkable independent accommodation units located within the hotel’s wooded grounds. It’s the fruition of two years of hard work, which came to a happy conclusion earlier in the year following a successful appeal decision permitting the development in a sensitive location. The concept was carefully planned in consultation with both the client and local authority so we were able to address important issues such as design and siting, while taking the opportunity to create something beautiful and contemporary that makes the most of this amazing location and extends the hotel’s quality ethos to a new type of accommodation.
