The 'Ultimate' in retail projects

MGA has recently obtained planning application from Snowdonia National Park Authority for a new 15,000 sqft retail premises for the Ultimate Outdoors chain in Betws-y-coed.

Ten years on from helping the former owners obtain permission for the alteration and extension to the existing shop on site, the practice has gained permission for the new owners - JD Sports - for a completely new development.

It will comprise a mixture of traditional stone and slate construction plus a contemporary steel-framed element with green roof and double-height entrance space. The scheme will create new employment opportunities in the area and enhance the conservation area setting, replacing the run-down and empty shop currently on the site.

The planning decision is due any day now - watch this space!
