Welcome to Rachael
We are delighted to announce a new member of the MGA team, Rachael Norbury. After leaving Oxford Brookes University, Rachael who is originally from Staffordshire, has made the move North to join the practice.
During her time at Brookes, Rachael specialised in International Architectural Regeneration and Development and she undertook design projects including regeneration of the Mughal Gardens in Agra, India, tackling India’s problems with open defecation by developing a community garden that promoted holistic symbiosis, incorporating a perfumery, toilets and wash facilities. These theories were further explored with a design project to regenerate unfinished buildings in Havana, Cuba, developing concepts of a pedagogical holistic architecture that would confront issues surrounding the global food crisis by creating ‘Productive Playscapes’.
In her spare time, Rachael is actively involvement with Guides and Scouts and enjoys cooking, walking, singing and photography among other hobbies. We have already enjoyed her lovely singing voice around the office!
